Who here has seen this show? I came upon by accident, no one has ever heard of Penn and Teller here in austria, I got all of mine off the internet. Now I've shown it to a lot of friends of mine, and I've noticed people seem to either love it or hate it. I for one enjoyed practically every episode, but my girlfriend was pretty insulted by it becuase they made fun of Feng Shui (she wants to become a feng shui designer, of all things), and her dad didnt like it because they made fun of yoga (which P&T just call "stretching").
Now, I'm not saying I agree with everything they say, because I dont. They have some views that go a bit too far for my taste. But I'm glad that people like them are out there, basically, all they are saying is use your head and dont believe everything other people tell you. Which is good, especially in todays world.
The main reason why I watch the show is because its pretty damn funny. Many, many moments of laughter and total disbelief at the stupidity of many of the people they interview on the show. Of course, it can be pretty one-sided, they always seem to find the biggest freaks on the planet who believe whatever it is they are screwing with.
My favorite episodes are the ones about "Creationists" (those people who believe the bible is fact and actually has a scientific value), the ones about PETA, Greenpeace and the overall "enviromental madness" going on, and the episode where they take apart the whole recycling thing.
Anyone else have anything to say about this show? And can anyone tell me if there is going to be a third season?
